In the Wiregrass and across South Alabama, land is not just property — it is livelihood, heritage, and independence. Federal energy schemes and forced CO₂ carbon capture pipelines must never override private property rights.

John Mills will:

• Defend private property rights against federal overreach. 
• Oppose forced CO₂ carbon capture pipelines through eminent domain abuse. 
• Protect landowners from regulatory coercion. 
• Support reliable, affordable American energy.
   

Washington does not own Alabama land. The people do.

Free elections are the foundation of self-government. Without confidence in the ballot, public trust in government collapses.

John Mills will:

• Require proof of U.S. citizenship for voting in federal elections. 
• Support paper ballots and fully auditable election systems. 
• Defend the constitutional authority of state legislatures over election law. 
• Promote transparent voter rolls and secure ballot handling procedures.
   

Every lawful vote must be counted.

Unlawful votes must not dilute the voice of American citizens.

Peace is preserved through strength. A weak military invites conflict. A distracted military loses focus. And a politicized military loses trust.

America’s armed forces exist for one purpose — to defend the nation. They must be trained, equipped, and led to win — not used as a social experiment or bureaucratic instrument.

As a retired U.S. Navy pilot with decades of operational experience, John Mills understands that readiness is not a slogan — it is a discipline.

John Mills will:

• Restore mission-focused military readiness and warfighting capability. 
• Ensure the armed forces remain apolitical and merit-based. 
• Fully fund training, maintenance, and modernization — not waste. 
• Strengthen deterrence against China, Russia, Iran, and emerging threats. 
• Support veterans and improve accountability within the VA system.
   

Our military must be lethal, disciplined, and respected.

America must never apologize for defending itself.

A nation that fails to control its borders fails to protect its citizens. Border security is not optional — it is a constitutional responsibility tied directly to public safety, national sovereignty, and the rule of law.

Unchecked illegal immigration strains communities, overwhelms law enforcement, fuels human trafficking and fentanyl distribution, and undermines lawful immigration. Compassion does not require chaos, and lawlessness is not humanitarian.

As a constitutional conservative, John Mills believes the federal government’s first duty is to enforce the laws already in place — fairly, firmly, and without apology.

John Mills will:

• Secure the border and enforce existing immigration law. 
• End policies that reward illegal entry and weaken lawful immigration. 
• Stop fentanyl trafficking and criminal exploitation at the border. 
• Support states and local law enforcement in bearing the cost of federal failure. 
• Restore the rule of law as a foundation of public trust and national security.

The Constitution is not outdated, flexible, or optional. It is the supreme law of the land — written to restrain government power and protect the liberty of the people.

When government exceeds its constitutional limits, freedom erodes, accountability disappears, and bureaucrats replace citizens as the final authority. That is not self-government — it is administrative rule.

John Mills believes every act of Congress must answer one question first:
Does the Constitution authorize this?

John Mills will:

• Enforce strict constitutional limits on federal power. 
• Oppose unelected bureaucracies that bypass Congress and the states. 
• Demand transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility in government. 
• Restore the balance of power between the federal government, the states, and the people. 
• Vote “no” on any policy that violates constitutional boundaries — regardless of political pressure.
   

Liberty survives only when government is limited, accountable, and bound by law.

The Constitution is the standard. The people are the authority, and the government must answer to both.
